| abstract | - Artifex is the first user expansion making group that originated from Zoo Admin. Their works include Arabian Nights and Island Excursions. Artifex's other creations include a Vancouver Island Marmot currently available for download on their site. While it was among the first of the successful designing groups, most, if not all of its members have long since gone inactive. Many of the members of Artifex are working adults with children, who do not have the time to pay attention to Zoo Tycoon anymore. But as much as they were somewhat of a one-shot deal, they had shown what could be done, and had paved an inspirational new path for ZT2 designers everywhere.
