  • Robert Dorning (13th May, 1913 - 21st February, 1989) was a British actor of stage and screen who had two different roles on Coronation Street. In 1965 he played Edward Wormold, then in 1972 he played the part of Alderman Rogers. He is also remembered for playing Wally Hunt, Leonard Swindley's boss in the second series of the Street Spin-off Pardon the Expression in 1966 and its sequel Turn out the Lights in 1967. He also made an appearance in a first season episode of Pardon... in the guest role of Lionel Denison.
