It grew so fast that cheap stone had to be used to build the walls, towers and homes, creating a bleak visage of grey spires. The city’s growth came to a grinding halt with the advent of Thorne, a settlement closer to Auros and more easily accessible. As the city of Thorne prospered and took over the position as major trade hub in the southeast, Cragport decayed until its rulers decided to throw in the towel and focus their facilities on export rather than trade. Since then, the city has regained some of its former glory by exporting vast amounts of cut stone and marble, though it still very much feels the shadow of Thorne over it and is often skipped by traders sailing past.
