| abstract | - Kiev is a chicken that appears in the time-travel episode “Painter’s Egg-Cellent Adventure”. Kiev is a magic chicken with the strange ability to lay beautiful glass Easter eggs for her owner Ivan Ivanovitch which he uses to pose as a great painter to impress the Tsar and his lovely daughter. In the episode, the evil and jealous Gargovich places a curse on Kiev that prevents her from laying anymore eggs after finding out that she is the source of Ivan's fame. In the end though, Ivan, with the aid of the Smurfs is able to defeat Gargovich and restore his good status with the Tsar and the princess, and even though Kiev lost her magic, she and her owner would now live a happy life with the Tsar's family.
