  • Blue Norther Barbecue 1 boneless chuck roast (4 lbs.) 2 medium onions, chopped 1/4 cup vegetable oil 1 bottle chili sauce (12 oz) 1 1/2 cups water 1/3 cup white vinegar 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley 1/4 cup Worcestershire 3 T. sugar 1 t. salt 1 t. dry mustard 1 t. paprika 1 t. hot sauce 1/2 t. pepper 12 hamburger buns, toasted Place roast in a roasting pan. Cover and bake at 325 for 2 to 3 hours or until tender. Chop meat and set aside. Saute onion in oil in a pan over medium heat until tender. Stir in chili sauce and next 10 ingredients. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes. Add meat; simmer 35 minutes, stirring occasionally. Serve on buns. Makes 12 servings. Source: Daphne Baskerville JSL Favorites
