  • Details: On April 1, 1993, cousins Albert Leon Fletcher and Douglas Porter went on a criminal rampage of carnage that started at the parking lot of a local shopping center. A young couple were sitting in their car when they were verbally harrased by the two men. They later tried to rob a teenager at his car, who was able to escape. The men then left and drove down a highway and tried to pass 32 year old Nelson Medina, and as they did, Fletcher shot and killed him. He left behind a wife and two children. Both men were soon arrested and Porter was tried and convicted and sentenced to life in prison, but on January 11, 1995, in Pasco County, Florida, Fletcher escaped before he could be brought to trial, and has been on the run ever since. Fletcher was finally arrested by the Delaware State Police on April 29, 1996 after a viewer recognized him as his neighbor Kevin Woodside.
