Let's go. (They followed the noise until they came to a place called Rusturf Tunnel. They saw a Whismur.) Sugar: Aww, cute! Polly: Is that a Whismur? Caber: I think it is. (pulls out his Pokédex) Sugar: Awww! Big Faye: Awww. There seems to be something wrong with the poor thing. Sugar: What's that? Caber: It's a Makuhita, the pre-evolved form of Hariyama. (pulls out his Pokédex) ???: Whismur, help me. Polly: (gasps) Who said that? (looks around) Big Faye: Oh my goodness. Big Faye: Are you two okay? What happened? Sugar: Yeah, what happened? Caber: What's the deal with these Makuhita? Candy: (whimpering) I was training with my new partner Whismur here, when Mack and I got attacked by these Makuhita and now they're mad. Polly: But why would they be mad? Sugar: Maybe their home got invaded or something. Candy: I don't know.... (pointing to the different-colored Makuhita) But I think that one over there is its leader. Caber: Hmm... (brings out Latios) Latios, do you think you can use your Psychic ability to tell us why these Makuhita are mad at Mack and Candy. Candy: (hopefully) Hey, Latios. Any reason why its mad? Caber: Mm-hmm. Okay. He says that they're home was destroyed by an Exploud weeks ago. Polly: Exploud? What's an Exploud? Mack: I'll look it up. (pulls out his Pokédex) Mack's Pokédex: Exploud, the Loud Noise Pokémon, and the final evolved form of Whismur. A Normal type. Exploud can produce a wide variety of sounds, which are so loud they can be heard more than six miles away. Big Faye: Oh, the poor things, loosing their home. Caber: Well, okay, but that doesn't explain why the Makuhita are mad at Mack and Candy. Latios? Candy: What's it saying? Sugar, Big Faye, and Polly: What's the matter, Caber? Caber: Well... Latios says that the Makuhita says that when Whismur fully evolve, they become Exploud.... And Candy caught said Whismur. Sugar: Wait, what? Candy: WHAT!? Is this true, Whismur? Mack: Whoa, wait a minute. You Makuhita can't hold Whismur responsible just because of the actions of one Exploud! It's not right! Candy's Whismur: (begging) Whis whis mur mur whismur? Sugar: Awww, it's begging! ???: Aha! Sugar: Oh no! It's that Pokémon Hunter we met before, Caber! Sugar: Oh, great... Candy's Whismur: (just about to cry) Whis...... Johnny: Well, if it isn't the redhead and the pink haired Rapunzel from Kanto who stole that Ralts I was after. (looks) Ah, I see you got some new friends with ya. One being that wimp of a giant I heard about, and you've got a Latios. This oughta be interesting. (brings out a Poké Ball) Candy's Whismur: (almost about to cry) Whiiiiiis...... Johnny: Dusknoir, go! Candy's Whismur: (began to shriek very loudly) MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRR!!! Johnny: (covers his ears) AH! SOMEBODY STOP THAT NOISE! Polly: What's going on?! Caber: It must be Whismur's Screech attack! Sugar: Screech?! Candy: What's Screech?! (pulls out her Pokédex) Sugar: Well, we know it's loud! Candy's Pokédex: Screech, One of Whismur's attacks. This powerful voice move is known to sharply lower the opponents Defense. Johnny: (muffled) Get off a' me! Polly: Hey, what was that move Whismur just used on that Dusknoir? Sugar: No clue! Mack: That's Shadow Ball! Sugar: Oooh! Caber: That was Attract. Guess that means Whismur's a girl, huh? Candy: Yup.
