abstract
  • Raysha Edolus was a Jedi Master active in the galaxy during the time, and leading up to, the multigalactic Extant War. Attaining the office and rank of Grand Master from her mentor, Julian Qel-Tythas, Edolus was considered to have been one of the most powerful Jedi of her time, and was believed to have been one of—if not the—last living descendant of the Skywalker dynasty. A Morellian and Echani hybrid that was orphaned from a young age, Edolus strongly favored her Echani ancestry, possessing white hair, fair skin and sharp intuitive combative inclinations. As a consequence, Edolus struggled, and continued to do so, against her Echani nature of violence and aggression, which forced her to regularly meditate deeply in order to remain in balance with the Light Side of the Force. An adherent of the cosmic Unifying Force, Edolus found early on her gift of precognitive, and often cryptic, Force Visions, and was elected as the Mistress of Visions some years prior to her appointment to Grand Master. Although Edolus, among others, had openly revealed she was not as powerful as her master, it was stated by Qel-Tythas himself that her potential in the Force was "almost explosive", and far exceeded his own. Edolus had strong ties to the House of Qel-Tythas due to Julian Qel-Tythas acting as both her mentor and father-figure. Conversely, and like many Jedi, she also fostered a strong distrust of the Sith Kings, even after the Treaty of Korriban. The Grand Master appeared to harbor a particular disdain for King Sycarion IV, and his ally, Queen Jasael, particularly after the former stated her natural inclination made her more fit as a Sith than a Jedi. Unlike the majority of her peers, however, she also was extremely wary of the Galactic Federation and the Grand Chairman, Theron Sokolov. A traditional Jedi, Edolus was nonetheless considered to have originally been too unstable to follow the Jedi path, which according to Julian Qel-Tythas, made her ascension to the position of Grand Master a modern legend of what effect full dedication to the Jedi Code and principles can have on even the most unlikely Jedi.
