Bynos was not Tommy's actual brother but because they were thrown into the same situation they became family. In the Factory District Bynos discovered an old abandoned factory owned by a long lost corporation titled Randor Technologies. In this factory there was a short range space transport that they began experimenting on and in this place the Randor brothers learned all they could about space ships. For two years they built up a name transporting anything they could on planet until they met a Bothan named Ar'laira. Ar'laira was very well connected with the beginnings of the Bothan spy net some say she helped tie them to the resistance at the time. She recognized the boys talent and she took the boys under her wing and taught them of the "The Way". She greatly respected the brothers and though it did not give her personal gain she became like a mother to them and took them out of the Factory District and flew them in her own spaceship to her main hub in Alderaan. Here at the age of 17 Tommy accompanied his new found mother on many different missions were he learned that a well placed word can be more powerful then a well placed blaster shot, but its a good thing that Tommy learned to do both. It was on one of these missions that he met a Mon Calamari by the name of Mamardia. During there meeting they were discovered by and imperial patrol and Tommy had to pilot there ship to safety. After seeing his display of skill Mamardia understood why the Bothan had spoken so highly of the Randors. So the Randor brothers spent a year being coached in diplomacy and speech craft by a famous Bothan spy, and learning how to making flying a art in movement by a Mon Calamarin pilot. This was not all they learned from there miss matched family but when the boys turned 18 they began to understand that the rebel cause needed young trained men so they left there small family behind to help build and test ships on Dac. It was here that Tommy learned how to fight with the resolve of the Calamari. However after a year working on a new design and learning how to fight something happened that would trigger all the events to come. One morning Tommy Randor was woken by a vision of a ship that would bring hope and peace to the galaxy but it was because of this that he missed his scheduled day. The factory that they were working in was ambushed by the empire and his brother was taken. With his mothers help he found that his brother had been taken to the Astrogation Research Facility. So without another thought Tommy Randor set off to protect his family and with his wit and will as his allies.
