  • The 1926-27 Romanian Hockey League season was the second season of the Romanian Championship. Hockey Club Roman Bucharest won the championship. Regional committees in Brasov, Cluj, and Bucharest were each to nominate a regional champion for the final competition by January 5. D. Dolensko, Al. Vogel and S. Nadler were appointed as officials. Meanwhile, the two clubs in Bucharest (HCR and TCR) sought to complement their rosters by obtaining players returning from abroad. An individual named Bacinski gathered some football teammates, who assembled a team known as Unirea-Tricolor, which immediately registered for the regional championship. Their roster included: Ligner, Ilie Subaseanu, Roland Pfann, and Tico, who were popular names in football. The squad did not participate in the championship in the end. As the teams from Brasov and Cluj did not pay the enrollment fee of 300 lei by January 12, the winter sports subcommittee decided the championship was to be contested solely by teams from Bucharest.
