Sooty and Soo go to see what Little Cousin Scampi's up to and he shows them the toy birds hes made with colourful feathers which he wants to sell in the shop. Sooty and Soo want to pay a trick on Sweep as hes made nothing to sell in the shop and Scampi agrees to help them. Sweeps looking for a bone in the camper van and Little Cousin Scampi puts a toy bird through the video and Soo makes some bird noises and Sweep thinks its a real bird. Sweep goes back in the camper van and Sooty, Soo and Little Cousin Scampi put in a toy bird each and Sweep thinks they're all real as they whistle back to him when he sings. Sweep goes and tells Matthew about the other birds and he goes to see them Sweep's sad as his bird friends have gone, but he sees them in his bedroom, but he sees 6 birds this time and he gives them some bird seed. Then he goes to the bathroom to find them, but finds a singing penguin instead which Sooty, Soo and Scampi have made. He tells Matthew about whats happened and Matthew tells him that Sooty, Soo and Little Cousin Scampi have played a trick on him. Litte Cousin Scampi shows Matthew all the things you need to make the little birds so Matthew and Sooty start making some and Matthew and Soo sing "Dickie Birds".
