rdfs:comment
  • Anarcho-primitivism is a political ideology which rejects civilization and tells to live prehistoric Stone Age or Bronze Age lifestyle. It rejects everything associated with civilization including division of labor and technology. Although anarcho-primitivism is a form of anarchism, many proponents of anarchism criticized this ideology calling it impractical. It's unclear how enough Food could be produced to keep the World's population alive if people returned to stone age or bronze age agriculture. Also our health would be far worse without modern medicine.
  • Anarcho-primitivism is an anarchist critique of the origins and progress of civilization. According to anarcho-primitivism, the shift from hunter-gatherer to agricultural subsistence gave rise to social stratification, coercion, and alienation. Anarcho-primitivists advocate a return to non-"civilized" ways of life through deindustrialisation, abolition of division of labour or specialization, and abandonment of technology. There are other non-anarchist forms of primitivism, and not all primitivists point to the same phenomenon as the source of modern, civilized problems.

abstract
  • Anarcho-primitivism is a political ideology which rejects civilization and tells to live prehistoric Stone Age or Bronze Age lifestyle. It rejects everything associated with civilization including division of labor and technology. Although anarcho-primitivism is a form of anarchism, many proponents of anarchism criticized this ideology calling it impractical. It's unclear how enough Food could be produced to keep the World's population alive if people returned to stone age or bronze age agriculture. Also our health would be far worse without modern medicine. Some individuals may be happier living a primitive lifestyle, and those individuals have every right to do so. However, it should not be implemented in society at large.
Many traditional anarchists reject the critique of civilization, many even denying that anarcho-primitivism has anything to do with anarchism, while some, such as Wolfi Landstreicher, endorse the critique but do not consider themselves anarcho-primitivists. Anarcho-primitivists are often distinguished by their focus on the praxis of achieving a feral state of being through "rewilding".
