To yield an opponent, a team places the picture of the team they wish to yield onto the Yield sign (found near one of the Route Markers). When the yielded team arrives at the Yield station, they must turn over an hourglass found on the Yield sign and wait for all the sand to drain before continuing. It is suggested that this generally takes around 30 minutes.

- A soldier jumps in, eager. "Aye! He was talking to people who weren't there. I tried to tell his guards, that's how my Pa was when he started raving."
- One of the soldiers looked down. "We mostly figured, someone must have told him they'd support him, right? He'd know we couldn't have done it alone?"

From Season 6 onwards, when there was going to be a Yield, the teams would find the message "Caution, Yield Ahead" in their clue. To yield an opponent, a team places the picture of the team they wish to yield onto the Yield sign (found near one of the Route Markers). When the yielded team arrives at the Yield station, they must turn over an hourglass found on the Yield sign and wait for all the sand to drain before continuing. It is suggested that this generally takes around 30 minutes. Like the Fast Forward, each team may only use one Yield during the race, and only one team may use each Yield (unless the Yield is a Voting Yield). However, a team may be yielded multiple times by various other teams. In the American version of the race, the Yield was replaced by the U-Turn from Season 12 onwards.

An nominal initial 1 megawatt (MW) solar energy project, producing about 1 million kWh per year... They are 1.307m by 0.991m --> 1.295237 m² 6200 of them would be: 8 030.47 m² The system will generate enough clean power to meet the energy needs of 300 German homes per year and avoid approximately 750 tons of carbon dioxide emissions annually. "Based on the excellent performance data from the solar energy system’s first two months of operation, we expect to see significantly more electricity generation than the stated targets of one million kWh per year," said Thomas Leibinger, director of environmental protection for the county of Sigmaringen, in a prepared statement. Production began in October 2007. For solar thermal systems, yield is measured in BTU or J /m³/year.... CHECK!

This works well with human NPCs, but has no chance of working with monsters, animals, or certain quest NPCs. Also, if you commit a crime and choose to resist arrest, you can yield to the guard if you've changed your mind about resisting. This will bring up the same dialogue and menu that appears when you commit the first crime. From there you can pay the fine, go to jail, or continue to resist arrest. You can use this to your advantage when facing people who like you (such as the quest The Purification). Initiate combat, then yield to your target as many times as you need. However, this may not always work, people with a high aggression stat may still continue to fight, even if they like you.
