  • When the Sentinels took over the Farrago, an Invid escort vessel let loose the Pursuer in order to destroy the slave craft. By this point, this Pursuer was the last of its kind and struggled with its target due to the fact that the vessel did not make use of Protoculture as its power source. Initially, the Sentinels believed they had destroyed the Pursuer but evidently it survived. As such, the Invid installed a Protoculture homing beacon on the Farrago to trace it but its weak signal meant that the Pursuer did, on occasion, lose track of its prey.
  • The Pursuer was a modified Firespray-31-class patrol and attack craft used by the bounty hunters Cadden Blackthorne during the Galactic Civil War, as well as for a short time afterward. It was greatly modified with advanced weapons systems by Blackthorne during his usage of the craft. Cadden was careful to keep these modifications a secret, and aside from added weaponry, he had sported it with an advanced, state-of-the-art automated security system, connection to his personal communications frequency and a radio link to his armor, an advanced navigational unit and a sensor jamming device.

abstract
  • The Pursuer was a modified Firespray-31-class patrol and attack craft used by the bounty hunters Cadden Blackthorne during the Galactic Civil War, as well as for a short time afterward. It was greatly modified with advanced weapons systems by Blackthorne during his usage of the craft. Cadden was careful to keep these modifications a secret, and aside from added weaponry, he had sported it with an advanced, state-of-the-art automated security system, connection to his personal communications frequency and a radio link to his armor, an advanced navigational unit and a sensor jamming device. For its entire time in existence, the Pursuer had remained in mystery, giving Cadden a more distinguishable reputation. However, during Cadden's pursuit for the pirate Kaldone, the Pursuer was severely damaged, in order to provide him and his cadre an opportunity to escape their target's flagship alive and intact. Later, Cadden would receive a replacement for his ship, the Pursuer II, from Talon Karde, and was later replaced once more by the Pursuer III.
It eventually managed to track them to Tirol after it had been liberated by the Robotech Expeditionary Force. The Sentinels revealed that even the primary cannons of the REF's vessels would be unable to harm the Pursuer. Furthermore, its pursuit of its quarry meant that there was the likely possibility that the warship would destroy Tirol if it succeeded in its mission. Following an alliance with the Sentinels, the two sides decided to lure the Pursuer into a cross fire where all their combined might would make use of Cabell's calculations which saw the destruction of the last Invid Pursuer.
