Their leader, calling himself Hons Defenwand, has sealed off the city, preventing any new information from entering it, and as such, no one in the city is yet aware that Ristt Blot is dead.

There is no safe landing below Pecker's Peck, only sharp huge rocks. A red nighthouse marks it as the Crow's beak, and warns of the sharp rocks below. The Crow and Nightrock Isle act as a funnel spilling fog down to the Free Seas from the Black Sea and South Mouth.
