  • Dodo Williams was the landlady of the Top Drum pub in Weatherfield. In December 1970 villanious Newton & Ridley drayman Arthur Burrows had set up Annie Walker by watering down her gin and then making an anonymous complaint. The customers deserted the Rovers Return Inn in droves and the Top Drum was one of the recipients of their custom. Stan Ogden was one of those who defected and Dodo was delighed to see Stan again. They chatted as to why he wasn’t in the Rovers and Dodo said she’d been told the atmosphere was like a big fridge with tables. When Hilda came in, she wasn't impressed that Stan and Dodo were so friendly.
