Its Chief-King the þaðamn, as well as its many tribal leaders, and slave masters, lived within the Mammoth's Grave proper, an ancient temple built over a grave of dead mammoths. Its buildings used blackwood, mammoth hides, permafrost, and iron beams to stay up. A charred mammoth's skull opened up, revealing a doghead lychgate, which ate Gohr, and transported him to the Temple of Ninety-Ninehalls on Ruined Isle on that Earth.
