| abstract | - Patrick Joseph McGuinness (born 14th August 1973 in Farnworth, Lancashire) is a comedian, television presenter and actor who appeared in Coronation Street as Dougie Ryan in August 2015. Paddy made his television debut in 1997 as a contestant for the show God's Gift. He later appeared in Peter Kay's sitcom Phoenix Nights and the subsequent spin-off Max and Paddy's Road to Nowhere, which in turn led to his successful television presenting career. McGuinness is perhaps best known for presenting game shows such as Take Me Out and Benchmark. As an actor he has also appeared in The Delivery Man, The Security Men and Keith Lemon: The Film.
