Biography
  • Danny Edwards, Jr. is a former NASCAR driver from Poquoson, VA. He competed in ten Nationwide Series events in his career. Edwards' debut came in 1995, when he competed at Myrtle Beach. Starting 20th in the field of thirty-four, Edwards completed all but three laps in the race and piloted his way to a solid 15th place finish. He also ran well later in the year at South Boston, finishing 19th but ending the year by finishing a disappointing 35th at Richmond. Edwards' next two races would come during the 1996 season, when he started the year off with his first trip to Dover. Starting 31st in the field of forty-one, Edwards completed all but ten laps to finish a midpack 24th. He improved on that later in the year at IRP, finishing that event 22nd. Edwards' final five starts would all come during the 1997 season, when he competed for Whitaker Racing. His season was for the most part very disappointing. Due to a number of crashes and DNFs, Edwards only finished better than 30th just once during the year. That positive race - a 12th place finish at IRP - was Edwards career best. But still, the disappointing results made Edwards' 39th place finish at Dover his final career start. External Links *Stats
