During his time there, he assisted Silver the Hedgehog before his missions to fight Iblis and is probably responsible for the creation of A.G., Silver's personal computer. For two years, Gerald his team worked on the creation of a time machine based on data recovered from the destroyed Omni-Viewer. He was eventually able to convince Commander Steele and Silver that time travel was a possibility by using the three remaining Chaos Emeralds to bridge the space-time continuum. In the remaining 72 hours, Gerald completed the project and was amazed to be able to meet Knuckles the Echidna in person. The meeting was interrupted by the return of Iblis, forcing Dr. Gerald to hurry Silver into the time portal. The elderly genius was soon after destroyed by the raging demon.
