True to its namesake, the Siege of Iego lasted one hundred standard galactic days, and was largely fought between Jedi and Sith. According to Theron Sokolov, the Grand Chairman of the Galactic Federation at the time, many speculated that the conflict was the forerunner of another war between the Jedi and Sith, or even began laying the groundwork for the greater involvement of the Galactic Federation and the Sith Hegemony. The Hundred-Day War ended with the Battle of the Boneyard, which was a massive battle between a combined total of nearly thirty Jedi Knights and Sith Lords. Jedi Master Julian Qel-Tythas and Sith King Raedon III engaged in combat during the length of the battle, during which time Qel-Tythas was struck across his eyes and rendered physically blind. Nonetheless, Qel-Tythas emerged victorious in the duel, which he ultimately ended by disarming and cutting off King Raedon III from the Force through a massive blast of Light Side energies. Following the war's end, Qel-Tythas was appointed to the Jedi Council as the Order's Jedi Battlemaster, although his nephew, Keson Qel-Tythas, was discovered to have been slain in the final battle. Due to the lack of support from the majority of the Sith Hegemony, the action of Raedon III were considered a single act of hostilities to be dealt with by the other Sith Kings.
