  • The UNSC Blenheim is the lead ship of the experimental and later cancelled Blenheim-class battleship built to test new technologies, designs and strategies in the developing art of space combat. At the time of her construction, she was the most advanced and powerful vessel ever constructed. To make the installation of new systems easier, nearly every room or divided section on the Blenheim was mounted on a powerful conveyor system that allowed it to be quickly refitted to mission specifications. She normally had a hull plated with explosive-resistant steel followed by six metres of lead to protect the crew against the radiation of space.

abstract
  • The UNSC Blenheim is the lead ship of the experimental and later cancelled Blenheim-class battleship built to test new technologies, designs and strategies in the developing art of space combat. At the time of her construction, she was the most advanced and powerful vessel ever constructed. To make the installation of new systems easier, nearly every room or divided section on the Blenheim was mounted on a powerful conveyor system that allowed it to be quickly refitted to mission specifications. She normally had a hull plated with explosive-resistant steel followed by six metres of lead to protect the crew against the radiation of space. After being commissioned on the 3rd June 2413, the Blenheim was launched to pacify the most hostile regions in known space, being commanded by Rear Admiral Dean Drake. Operating out of the deep-space drydock GJ 1005-Alpha, the Blenheim would target known pirate outposts, investigate anomalies of significant interest and participate in interstellar exercises. When war was finally declared, the Blenheim was immediately dispatched to secure the nearby space of any rebelling colonies in hopes of destroying any rumoured warships the rebels had at their disposal - because no such ships existed, she would see very little action. Because of this, the Blenheim was disarmed and left in orbit of Falkirk to assist in restoring the planet's orbital infrastructure, and serve as a monument to those lost their lives in it. It would remain this way for almost a century, when she was refitted by her owners to lead Falkirk's determination for independence in space.
