  • A star chart is a mapping of stars for use in navigation or identification. Montgomery Scott, after making contact with a Narisian in the previously unexplored Narisian system, was unsurprised that even within Federation space and little more than one hundred parsecs from Earth, the limited number of vessels in Starfleet still had not explored all stars, and some were little more than numbers on a star chart. (Star Trek novel: Engines of Destiny)

  • Each planet has its own set of resources and a backstory regarding the faction that is controlling the planet. Some planets may feature more than one faction at the same time. Besides the mission nodes, three planets have a Relay Node. The available relays differ between the PC, PS4 and XB1 versions and two of the available relays will be locked behind a Mastery Rank of either 4 or 8. In addition, a derelict Relay called Maroo's Bazaar can be found on Earth and serves as a trading hub for players.

(TV: Dragonfire, Snakedance) Voyager owned star charts that showed how to access "the dimension of death". Astrolabus had them tattooed onto his body and then ran away. Thinking them stolen, Voyager instructed the Sixth Doctor to reclaim them. He eventually caught up with Astrolabus and Voyager killed him. (COMIC: Voyager, Once Upon a Time Lord) The Ice Gardens of Iceworld, Svartos contained star charts that contradicted others and the planet Proamon had been destroyed. (TV: Dragonfire)

When it was revealed that they were from the distant Takret system, they explained that their work as stellar cartographers often took them far from home. Upon learning this, Jonathan Archer hoped that they could help them update their star charts. (ENT: "The Catwalk") In 2367, Doctor Beverly Crusher became trapped in a static warp bubble. With "her" universe shrinking, the USS Enterprise-D computer stated it had no record of Tau Alpha C on any current star map. (TNG: "Remember Me" ) In 2368, Captain Jean-Luc Picard began to live the life of Kamin on the planet Kataan after the Enterprise encountered a spaceborne probe. During this time, he created several star charts of the stellar region surrounding Kataan with the help of a telescope he had constructed. (TNG: "The Inner Light" ) In 2369, Major Kira Nerys asked Deep Space 9's Cardassian computer for the star charts of the Argosian sector. The computer instead showed her the star charts of the Glessene sector. (DS9: "Babel") In 2372, after Tom Paris' transwarp flight, his shuttle, the Cochrane collected over five billion gigaquads of information. Captain Kathryn Janeway told Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres to transfer the data to stellar cartography, so a star chart could be created. (VOY: "Threshold") In early 2374, Captain Benjamin Sisko asked Elim Garak to study several star charts following a battle with Dominion forces. (DS9: "A Time to Stand") In 2378, Seven of Nine created a series of holoprograms designed to help her better explore her Humanity. In one such program, she created a set of living quarters aboard the USS Voyager which were sparsely decorated. She entertained the idea of adding a multispectral star chart to one of the bulkheads. The holographic representation of Neelix thought a painting would be a better idea, which Seven misconstrued as Neelix suggesting that she should instead display a painting of a star chart. (VOY: "Human Error") The Lyridian transgalactic star charts were among the most accurate maps of the Milky Way Galaxy ever created. (VOY: "Think Tank")

Beyond the 16 accessible planets, moons, and other areas of the solar system, there are two locations which can only be accessed with keys: the Orokin Derelict and the Clan Dojo.

When the crew explored the wreckage of the Zelbinion, Aeryn Sun and D'Argo found that the navigational consoles had been destroyed and no galactic star charts were available. ("PK Tech Girl") On the New Moon of Delvia, Tahleen told Crichton that there were no star charts or reference points home to Delvia, because Delvians preferred to stay at home. ("Rhapsody in Blue") When Crichton and Aeryn were looking at the stars, Crichton showed Aeryn a star chart he had created, naming all of the constellations. Aeryn pointed out that they already had names, but Crichton felt that "Huey, Louie, and Dewey" was a less boring name than Mintaka III. ("Green Eyed Monster") As Moya neared the edge of Tormented Space, Pilot was hesitant to enter without reliable star charts and the traders were asking exorbitant prices for theirs. ("Twice Shy") While negotiating with Emperor Staleek of the Scarrans, Crichton had Aeryn offer a navigational data chip with local star charts directing Staleek and Ahkna to a location of their choosing to demonstrate the wormhole technology. The Star Chart icon is found on the Inventory page; the pentacle icon directly below the Meridian chart Flowsilver Palace Judgement mode and other Daily Quests are the source for Star Chart items. Much of the process is rerolling stats of owned Charts with items, so it is not important to obtain many Star Charts. The Starglade Chest item gives Charts. Also, because stats are rerolled, a favored chart should be retained and not rerolled, while the other gains Aptitude and gains you Astral Energy. Astral Energy is retained by your character, even if you change Star Charts, in much the same way as Nuema is retained regardless of Cards equipped, in the War Avatar system. Attributes from one chart can be transferred to another with Astral Infusion. Astrobana Pearl Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 increase XP of the chart Astrospira Pearl raises the important attribute Aptitude, which makes it easier to roll powerful charts Starseeker Powder changes the order of the stats, whatever that means. Only five such are available in any case Nebula Dust Orb is how the rerolling is done. One type also increases Astral Energy, which like Aptitude, increases the chance of better charts. Another type does not increase Astral Energy, and is therefore more cost effective when used after Astral Energy has been increased Bonuses occur as Birthstars or Fatestars, with Fatestars offerig higher bonuses * Star Chart Starter Guide * Forum Discussion * Star Chart System * Star Chart Basics - YouTube * Star Chart Guide
