  • Cowardice
rdfs:comment
  • Cowardice is a mental, mundane disadvantage, described in Basic Set, p. 129.
  • The real definition of a coward is one who lacks courage to do or endure dangerous or unpleasant things. A coward is also described as a "chicken". Grubbs has been called a coward multiple times throughout the series and has even admit it once or twice especially in Demon Apocalypse.
  • Cowardice is Riki's fourth skill tree in Xenoblade Chronicles. It can be unlocked by completing the quest "Getting Bigger!". Prioritizing Cowardice improves Riki's block rate by up to 20% (2% if no skills have been learnt).
  • The mutant becomes extremely cowardly (Cl is halved). A successful Cl test is required before it will charge. It is also subject to fear of any attackers who outnumber its unit or side.
  • This spell can be useful to ward off creatures that attack your stacks as "retaliation fodder", who attempt to absorb your stack's retaliation before a different, perhaps more valuable stack attacks. It can also be used to avoid attacks by weaker stacks that carry an innate ability that you wish to avoid, such as the Poison attacks of venom spawn. Finally, if you find yourself wading into combat with one powerful stack facing many lesser ones, successive castings of this spell can keep your stack from being swarmed. In the Equilibris mod, Cowardice is a first-level spell.

Cowardice is negated by the Mind Shield artifact, and does not affect undead, mechanical, and elemental creatures. The Crown of Enchantment can confer on the caster the ability to target some otherwise immune creatures with mind spells. This spell is available to genies, the third-level Academy creatures. In the Equilibris mod, Cowardice is a first-level spell.
