He is one of the Main Protagonists of Lost Chronicles. His starter Pokémon is a Magikarp that he captured at the age of 7, due to the fact that he enjoyed the Pokémon and the way it splashed around in the water. He lived in the Viridian Forest with the many Pokémon that resided there and made friends with them. Due to being a child born within the Viridian Forest, he gained the ability to heal Pokémon upon touch and telepathically read a Pokémon's mind. However, his mastery of his powers is very minimal when the series begins, but as it progresses, his powers gradually become more powerful, and he has a better control over them.

| desc | - Gyro is Yin's first Pokémon. He found the Magikarp in a lake, swimming around, when he was 7, and he captured him so he could have him. He never used Gyro in a battle as a Magikarp, knowing he wasn't too strong, but, whenever he had the chance, he would let the Magikarp swim around so he could watch it have some fun. Later on, when Gyro evolves into a Gyarados, Gyro becomes Yin's strongest Pokémon and main asset in his team.
Abri's known moves are Ice Beam, Aqua Tail, Crunch, and Thunderbolt.
- Kelpy is Yin's second Pokémon. Formerly, it was a Shadow Pokémon owned by a Grunt within Ekisu, Yin heard Kelpy screaming for help due to it being turned into a violent weapon for the Grunt. Yin chased the Grunt, and at every moment, was beaten up by the Shadow Skrelp, until Kyoto captured her and gave the Pokémon to Yin. Before Yin's Gyro evolved, Kelpy was Yin's primary Pokémon used in battles. Before Kelpy evolved into Dragalge, Yin used to carry her in his arms during his journeys.
Abri's known moves are Sludge Wave, Thunder, Smokescreen, and Camouflage.

He tends to zone out a lot, due to the fact that he stares at Pokémon in their habitat, smiling seeing them enjoying their habitat. Kyoto (Chronicles) or Gem (Chronicles) occasionally snap him out of his trance so that they could continue onward with their journey. Whenever he hears the voice of a Shadow Pokémon, he gains a massive headache due to the overwhelming amount of sorrow that he hears from them. However, this isn't always the case, as there are some Shadow Pokémon who enjoy being turned into a more powerful version of what they once were. After Kyoto captured Kelpy from an Ekisu Grunt, he gave Yin the Pokémon and explained the situation with Gem. They eventually took Yin to Professor Blossom so that he could be fitted with a spare prototype Snag Machine, which he wears under his right sleeve, and a pair of orange goggles that could detect the shadowy aura of a Shadow Pokémon.
