  • __NOINDEX__ Anant Sureshchandra Maloo is the Chairman and Managing Director of Timbor Home Ltd.; India’s first fully integrated furniture player – from forestry, to manufacturing to retailing. Mr. Maloo’s pioneering vision has forged the road to success when it comes to the company’s business strategies, new projects and marketing policies. The dynamic entrepreneur has over 15 years of experience in the cement, building material and timber industry. Mr. Maloo is armed with Bachelor of Commerce and Post Graduate Diploma in International Business from International Management Institute (IMI), New Delhi. Active in the trading business, Anant has associated with large industrial houses like Birla, Tata, Eternit group for their products such as cement, plywood and building boards. The company was incorporated in the year 2000; and under Mr. Maloo’s leadership, in a short span of time has now evolved into a Public Limited Company, with its IPO in May 2011. Timbor Home Ltd. has successfully adopted the franchising model and has a distribution network of 130 showrooms across India. Impressed with the business model, prestigious media houses like Bennett Coleman & Company, HT Media Ltd. and DB Corp Ltd. have shown faith in the management and business of Timbor Home and invested in its equity. The company markets its products under the brand names ‘Timbor Cucine’ for modular kitchens, ‘Timbor Doors’ for doors & door frames, ‘Timbor Home’ for home furniture, ‘Timbor Cook Care’ for cookware, and ‘IKI Kitchens’ for hi-end kitchen solutions using ‘Hettich’ hardware and accessories. Mr. Maloo’s innovative approach and visionary outlook can be illustrated through the setting up of the company’s forestry project, which aims at supporting his furniture manufacturing and retail business. This move towards sustainability has made Timbor Home the first in the Indian furniture industry to be both backwards and forward integrated. Keeping the environment in mind, the company also plans to avail carbon credits in the future. Mr. Maloo is a very active member of the interior designer's fraternity and was previously the Vice Chairman of Indian Institute of Indian Interior Designers (Ahmedabad Chapter), a National organization affiliated to the International Federation of Interiors (IFI). In his free-time, Mr. Anant Maloo is an active sportsman who has in the past captained his state (Gujarat) and University tennis team at national events. Mr. Maloo’s long term vision and expertise combined with his energy and passion for the company have proved to be the lifeblood of Timbor Home, and have played a crucial role in its growth and expansion, case in point being his plans to set up an institute for kitchen designers.
