Wilcott managed to meet with Gretchen personally and agreed to meet atop a car garage parking lot. Wilcott stalled and said he would be able to get the gang Scylla, but Mahone figured out he was lying and Wilcott admitted the lie himself. Wilcott tried to kill Gretchen and Mahone, but they fired at him first and killed him.
