Roscoe Skryme (b. 1945) taught Magical Art at Kaaterskill Academy of Magic during the 1995-1996 school year. He was an eminent portraitist and had completed a portrait of the Secretary of Magic just before accepting the position at Kaaterskill. He also painted landscapes in the Hudson River School tradition. Skryme discovered and encouraged Ethan Lloyd's talent for magical art.
