  • Boojum (American McGee's Alice)
rdfs:comment
  • While one Boojum is believed to have killed the Baker, their species only appeared to Alice Liddell during her fits at Rutledge Asylum some 10 years after her family was consumed in a fire she believed herself to have caused. Very Banshee-like in appearance, Boojums will fly around their foes for a while in order to make themselves a difficult target before finally honing in to attack. Once on the offensive, they hunch back and shriek. This is their only known strategy and offensive technique though a traveler ought to be aware that while normally just an annoyance rather than any true threat they can send someone jumping in the opposite direction from where they were intending to land, potentially leading to a fatal injury during their fall.

In terms of clothing, they appear to wear tattered, holy vestibules that have since been tainted with evil. Why this would be is entirely unknown, however. Despite their fearsome appearance they are actually quite weak and can quite easily be dispatched by a set of Playing Cards or an Ice Wand. Given their spirit-like forms, they may in some way be related to the Phantasmagoria, although any direct evidence of this has yet to surface. Like many foes Alice fought during her psychosis at Rutledge, these creatures made no appearance when she began to relapse a year after her release.
