Zabat was from a planet called Hellena in the Outer Rim Territories, born during the Clone Wars. The war did not effect him, as the Confederacy of Independent Systems did not see a point in invading the small planet. It was terrestrial, with a corrupt government in economic turmoil. Zabat had no real care for politics throughout most of his teenage years. After the rise of the Empire, replacing the Galactic Republic, Zabat looked toward it more favorably. He was a slightly sadistic and sociopathic person, and thought joining the Stormtrooper Corps would be interesting. Learning Galactic Basic Standard (as they spoke Hellenic on the planet), he enlisted at age seventeen.
