rdfs:comment | - Durden is a mysterious planet hidden in the midst of Wild Space. The only contact it has had with the galaxy at large was through a hyperspace accident that brought Tav Garvin and those aboard the Tasty Snack crashing down on its surface. When Tav was eventually able to repair the ship and leave, he deliberately kept the coordinates to himself so no one else would be able to find the planet. The only link the planet has with the galaxy now, other than Tav and the others who survived the trip, are the Sages that have settled on the planet Juoi.

abstract | - Durden is a mysterious planet hidden in the midst of Wild Space. Tav’s decision was borne out of a desire to protect the galaxy from the Venix, a monstrous and extremely aggressive race that had managed to subjugate the planet and its other inhabitants by the time Tav escaped. The only link the planet has with the galaxy now, other than Tav and the others who survived the trip, are the Sages that have settled on the planet Juoi.
