  • Stimpy was a humanoid male. At some point after his death, he was animated by the necromantic powers of Gern Blanston, serving with his fellow thralls Carol, Coral, and Fatty Arbuckle. As a companion NPC, Stimpy was played by Matthew Mercer, but he followed the instructions of Gern's player, Chris Hardwick.
  • Stimpson J. Cat, better known as Stimpy, is one of the main titular characters and one of the two main protagonists of The Ren & Stimpy Show and the APC version, the other being his best "friend" and abuser Ren Höek.
  • Wooldoor Sockbat is a character who is meant to be a parody on both Spongebob and Stimpy. His body shape resembles Stimpy while his colors and voice resembles Spongebob's. Wooldoor is in a rounded, plump shape and he has a big nose and big round eyes and misshapen teeth, just like Stimpy. Stimpy is the second outside character to appear in this show and be voiced by their original voice actor. The other one would be Bubbles, voiced by Tara Strong, and later, Fred Flintstone, by James Arnold Taylor.
  • Stimpson "Stimpy" J. Cat is a 3-year old fat, dimwitted, and rotund red and white Manx cat with a brain that's literally the size of a peanut. He has a big, blue nose, dark blue eyes which can only be seen in close ups, flat feet, no tail, human-style buttocks, and a pair of white gloves. He invents dangerous machines and can cook. His favorite song is "Happy Happy Joy Joy". Martin "Dr. Toon" Goodman of Animation World Magazine described Stimpy as "obese," and "brain-damaged." Andy Meisler of The New York Times described Stimpy as "bosom," "barrel-chested," and "good-natured."

He has a big, blue nose, dark blue eyes which can only be seen in close ups, flat feet, no tail, human-style buttocks, and a pair of white gloves. He invents dangerous machines and can cook. His favorite song is "Happy Happy Joy Joy". Martin "Dr. Toon" Goodman of Animation World Magazine described Stimpy as "obese," and "brain-damaged." Andy Meisler of The New York Times described Stimpy as "bosom," "barrel-chested," and "good-natured." He often has his tongue sticking out and usually says "Oh, Joy". He likes to watch cartoons, most notably "The Muddy Mudskipper Show" and use Gritty Kitty Litter. Stimpy's good-natured personality is the opposite of Ren's personality. He is voiced by Billy West in The Ren & Stimpy Show. In the spin-off series Adult Party Cartoon, Stimpy was voiced by Eric Bauza (who had worked on the series along with the originals).
In the episodes Captain Hero's Marriage Pact and Nipple Ring-Ring Goes to Foster Care, Wooldoor was seen doing really strange things with his body such as making his eyes bulge out if his head while the background showed a CGI background of a dark green or brown color with a bunch of dark splatters all over it, similar to those used in The Ren & Stimpy Show. On some occasions, Wooldoor will even show a very grotesque close up of himself, that will be animated in oil-painted still art while the sound of a fog horn plays in the background. Another thing that is constantly done in Spongebob and The Ren & Stimpy Show. Stimpy is the second outside character to appear in this show and be voiced by their original voice actor. The other one would be Bubbles, voiced by Tara Strong, and later, Fred Flintstone, by James Arnold Taylor.
  • Stimpson J. Stimpy is a red and white, rotund Manx cat with a blue nose, purple eyelids, no tail, hands with gloves that have fingernails, human-style buttocks, flat feet, and a brain the size of a peanut (despite some intelligence, such as cooking and inventing; he is also the main antagonist of the show, and has some other knowledge such as monetary counting and knowing that pork fat floats on beans). Martin "Dr. Toon" Goodman of Animation World Magazine described Stimpy as "obese," and "brain-damaged." Andy Meisler of The New York Times described Stimpy as "bosom," "barrel-chested," and "good-natured." Stimpy's trademark facial expression is a blissfully ignorant smile with his tongue flopping out. Most of the time when he gets excited, he says his famous catchphrase, "Oh, Joy!" or simply "Jooooooy". Stimpy is named after an art school classmate of Kricfalusi, whose nickname was "Stimpy Cadogen" ("Killer Cadoogen" was Stimpy's pseudonym in several episodes, and in a few others he is referred to as Stimpleton Cadogen). West said that he based Stimpy's voice on a "sped up" Larry Fine of the Three Stooges. West described Stimpy as one of his favorite characters. Eric Bauza voiced Stimpy in Ren & Stimpy "Adult Party Cartoon" and Nicktoons MLB. Stimpy likes to create destructive electronic devices and feels a fixation for, in the words of Andy Meisler of The New York Times, "sensory pleasures of fresh kitty litter." Wray described Stimpy as his favorite character to draw. Wray said that Stimpy does not have "a huge range of emotion." West said in an interview that he did not wish to voice Stimpy in the Adult Party Cartoon because he believed that the series was not funny and that voicing Stimpy in it would damage his career.
