He also wears a trademark blue hat which, while torn in the back, often seems to blend with his hair. While they are first shown as being completely separate, later publications cause more uncertainty as to where his hat and his hair actually meet. His hat is most likely a Japanese student cap that was normally worn along with the gakuran prior to the 1970s. He is also known for a quick and short temper. He is the only JoJo to make an appearance in four different series.

Up: Here's your receipt!: Star Platinum is summoned to unleash an upward barrage of punches, sending the opponent flying far on the final hit. If done in midair, Jotaro travels up as Star Platinum punches. Down: My STAND will be the judge!: Star Platinum is summoned to fly at the opponent and grab them. If Star Platinum connects, it will pick the opponent up with one hand and pummel their face with the other before uppercutting them away. Hyper Smash: Star Platinum: The World!: Jotaro yells his stand's name and then "THE WORLD!" then a black field from Star Platinum envelops the stage to be black and white. This signals the time is frozen as he says "Time is frozen.", stopping all movement except Jotaro's. This can allow him to freely attack the opponent. When 10 seconds are up, Jotaro restarts time with "And time goes on." Should the opponent suffer damage during this, he/she will be blown away. Final Smash: ORA ORA ORA ORA!: Based on his JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle Heart Heat Attack. Jotaro announces "You're outta here." then Star Platinum continuously gives rapid punches the opponent the punches him/her away. Ultra Smash: You pissed me off!: Jotaro calls out "Star Platinum!" then sends it out to punch the opponent. If it hits, Jotaro says "You're going down!" then freezes time and Star Platinum rapidly punches the opponent going "ORAORAORAORAORAORAORAAA!" After 112 hits, Jotaro points at the opponent and says "You pissed me off." Victory 1: Jotaro turns saying "Man, what a pain." ("A man like you thought I was just gonna go down without a fight?" defeated Avdol, "Hmph! Not bad, Kakyoin." defeated Kakyoin, "I don't think I've ever been this exhausted." defeated Polnareff) Victory 2: Jotaro puts a hand on his hat saying "Don't worry... I'm going easy on you here." ("You asked for it, old man." vs. Old Joseph, "Ugh, what a mangy mutt!" defeated Iggy) Victory 3: Jotaro has Star Platinum punch rapidly, then says "Pathetic. I don't even have anything I wanna say to you."
