  • The HMH-460 Utility Helicopter, also known as the Canary, was a class of helicopters employed by the UNSC Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, and UNSC Search & Rescue during the twenty-sixth century. Used to fill a variety of roles in a low-cost manner, the Canary grew in popularity as supply lines disappeared and cheaper alternatives were needed during the 2530's. After the Human-Covenant War, however, more advanced and agile vehicles such as the UV-187 Raven Transport Tiltrotor and UH-174 Rapid Utility Support Helicopter, and others rendered a large percentage of Canaries obsolete, though the HMH-460 would serve through the Second Human Civil War in the hands of Army, Air Force, and Colonial Militia forces albeit in extremely limited numbers.
