  • Harold Henry Gibbons OBE JP (5 June 1863 - 5 June 1948) was a politician in the Greenwich area. He was Mayor of Greenwich in 1937-38, and a Labour Party Member of the London County Council elected 1946-9 Greenwich. In 1932 he was appointed a member of the Metropolitan Water Board, and was chairman from 1946 until his death. He was awarded the OBE in the 1946 New Year's Honours for his wartime service as Chairman of Emergency Committee, Deputy Invasion Defence Officer and Chief Civil Defence Warden of Greenwich.
