The scroll told the tale of the terrible forest creature known as the Raich and was written in Ewokese. The tale written on the scroll recounted how the Ewoks of Bright Tree Village had decided to rid the forest of the Raich and of the brief conflict between the Raich and the village's best warriors. The scroll's tale ended by explaining how the Ewoks had placed a magic cap on the Raich, thereby transforming him into a harmless tree. The scroll finished by warning the reader that the Raich would stay a tree only if the cap remained on the Raich's head. The Scroll of the Raich was kept within Logray's hut among his many writings and manuscripts. During the temporary return of the Raich, Logray used telekinesis to summon the scroll from his hut and read the tale to the young Ewoks, Wicket Wystri Warrick, Latara, Kneesaa a Jari Kintaka, and Teebo.
