The said effect of the technique is quite hazardous, and is the main reason for Kagaseō's infamy across the Shinobi world. Upon the spiritual link to Jashin's chakra being placed onto the body, the technique causes their body to be slowly infected with it, in a similar manner to a parasite. While the effects are hardly noticeable at first, Kagaseō is generally seen attempting to distract the victim until the effect actually happens. What is most noticeable is that a black shroud of chakra envelops the wielder, making them unable to comprehend the situation, inciting further confusing and allowing the technique to further progress. Herein, the victim has a black, viscous liquid pour out of their mouth, which proceeds to suffocate their bodies until they turn into ash, and their chakra is used to make an entity known as Jashin's Phantoms (邪神の子分達, Jashin no Kobuntachi, Literally meaning "Evil God's Henchmen") the henchmen of Kagaseō. In its entirety, the technique has a sole purpose, to incite more to become devotees of the Jashin, which is what the technique's offspring precisely do. Notably, the technique is quite difficult to execute under standard conditions, therefore forcing Kagaseō to be strategic in its use.
