- The Termool is a desert lying in the southernmost area of the Aiel Waste, north of the Sea of Storms, and east of Stedding Shangtai, Mayene, and the Drowned Lands. Its eastern edge is the immense canyon known as the Great Rift. The Termool is so dry and barren that even the Aiel will not travel there. The sand dunes are constantly shifting, sometimes reaching heights of three hundred feet. Fierce, sudden windstorms, which can last for several days, are common. No life is known to exist in the Termool at all.
