Ultimately, Captain Louvois agreed with Captain Jean-Luc Picard that Data would be assumed a sentient being. (TNG episode: "The Measure of a Man") Anthony DeCurtis was assigned to the starbase after graduated from Starfleet Academy. (ST video game: Starship Creator) In the 24th century, Starbase 173 was active in the late 2370s, after the Dominion War. (TNG video games: Armada, Armada II) In Armada, the starbase's space station name was randomly assigned to a playing field station by the game software. The base shown in the game was basically similar to that of the episode, although the gameplay involved removing and adding different outboard structures.
