abstract
  • The Meditations of T'Pau were a series of writings from the Vulcan civilization. Written by T'Pau, it contained many readings about the time of mating that the Vulcan species faced during their life times and how young Vulcans ought to prepare. Specifically, in meditation sixteen, passage seven of the writings, T'Pau described the sensations and the theories. In 2293, Spock suggested to his young niece Teska to read the Meditations of T'Pau as part of her preparation for her impending Bonding with a young Romulan child called Hasmek. He also confessed that he had found the descriptions in these readings to have been lacking and difficult in relation to matters such as the pon farr. (TOS novel: Mind Meld)
