Air Force Lineage records requested from Maxwell AFB also show the unit was Consolidated with the 408th Bombardment Squadron (Medium) a former B-47 Squadron assigned to the 22d Bombardment Wing at March AFB, CA, the 408th was active between 1959 and 1962.
