During his childhood he was part of Team Oushi , under the tutelage of Oushi Urahara a jonnin mastered in Taijutsu and Lightning Release Techniques , the hard training with the latter leads Hisashi to became Chunnin the same year of his Academy Graduation been the only one of his generation ascending to that level after the exams.
