- Energy absorption was created by Doctor Gero's father who later implanted them into his son. When Gero First used this technique on an enemy shinobi it has been shown to dehydrate an enemy turning them into "prunes" as he called them. The exact absorbative potential of these implants seems to be limmeted to the will of the user and how frequently they use their chakra.
- An ability to absorb demonic energy and increase the user's powers. This is a similar ability to a demonic power-user's power to absorb outside energy and convert it to his power.
- Energy Absorption is the ability of an individual to absorb varying waves of energy into their body for a variety of purposes. In many cases, this energy can also be expelled for offensive attack or visual effect. Superman absorbs yellow ultraviolet radiation in order to replenish his Kryptonian cells. Firestorm can absorb thermal energy and rechannel it as concentrated atomic blasts.
- The user can absorb various forms of energy, while removing it from the source, into their body and use it in various ways, gaining some form of advantage, either by enhancing themselves, gaining the drained power, using it as power source etc., either temporarily or permanently.
- Eve has used this ability reflexively to protect herself from two explosions and several ability attacks. During the first explosion, she was not even aware that she possessed the ability but it still saved her. She has also used it to deflect away bullets, knives and tasers from herself. Usually, the attack needs to be targeted towards her in order for her to absorb the energy from it, but if she is augmented, she can absorb offensive energy which isn't aimed directly at her. When this happens, it feels as if a shield around her skin suddenly expands. She used this effect to absorb all the energy from Samuel Sullivan's terrakinetic attack on Central Park in another timeline, though the effort knocked her unconscious, and she has also used it to completely absorb an explosion.
