The title Pizza with a Bite is a play on words in German, meaning both that the titular pizza is extra delicious, and missing a bite due to the fact that chef Cookie Monster is also the restaurant's taster who doesn't let a pizza leave his kitchen without having taken a bite out of it for approval first. The show's theme song is sung by the cast. The episodes are directed by regular Sesamstrasse director Jojo Wolff. Episodes are usually available to be watched online as well, and remain so for several days after they air (or re-air) on KIKA.
