Although Leia recognized that her daughter inherited her political acumen, Jaina grew frustrated with the bickering and hidden agendas of the New Republic senators. Preferring the straightforward nature of the military, with set assignments and hierarchy of command, Jaina joined the New Republic Defense Fleet as a starfighter pilot. Over time, she was transferred to Wraith Squadron.
