| abstract | - The is an advanced elemental ninjutsu that is the stronger counterpart to the Crystal Release. Like its predecessor, it is capable of producing crystalline structures. However, the crystals produced by this nature are harder than those produced by the latter. Its only known wielder is Miyabi. The Jewel Release, like the Crystal Release, can crystallize any physical mass, rendering the use of earth, water and wood ineffective against it. It also apparently possesses no inherent weakness to lightning techniques, seen when Miyabi's armor of jewels easily deflected Raika's Lightning Release: Unkempt Hair. Similarly to the Crystal Release, a user of the Jewel Release can crystallize even moisture out of the atmosphere to produce weapons, making the user's arsenal potentially limitless. In addition, because of the nature of the crystal lattice of the structures produced by the Jewel Release, they are extremely difficult to shatter, much more so than the Crystal Release. Techniques produced by this nature take on the appearance of multicolored jewels, being typically crimson, dark blue or green in color. In spite of the immense power that can be derived from the possession of this nature, it has one major weakness. It cannot crystallize either pure energy or chakra, making it possible for its techniques to be countered by fire, wind or lightning techniques.
