| abstract | - Humbert H. is an art and music critic for the Mar Saran Evening Gazette. He is opposed to the Terran Dominion. Humbert likes to wear a beret. Humbert went to Joeyray's, believing it to be the headquarters of Raynor's Raiders. In addition, he wished to see its jukebox, believed to be loaded with "the hottest, most subversive platters in the Koprulu Sector". One late afternoon, he had a disreputable cabbie drive him the thirty kilometers to the bar. Once there, he listened to the music, all of which had banned by the Dominion. He met Raynor's Raiders and believed them to be an awesome crew. However, during his 15 minutes there, he was subjected to pranks, which resulted in a split lip, his shorts on his head, an an inability to extricate his beret. He had to walk the 30 km back. Even so, he was so enthusiastic about the meeting that he vowed to return there again.
