When Ame-No-Wakahiko shoots a pheasant sent to earth by the other gods, his arrow shoots through the bird and lands at the feet of Amaterasu and Takami-Masubi in heaven. Takami-Masubi recognizes the arrow and, angered, throws it back to earth, where it kills Ame-No-Wakahiko.
