It can only be obtained after completing the quests Night Elves, Dimension Connections, Fire Golem's Heart, Brothers and Mystical Glyph by talking to Mae'chen is Kalm. ( If you want to fight gilgamesh2, i suggest you defeat Penance first before this quest) The player must have at least one mastered class to acquire the quest. The objective of the quest is to find "Mr. X" and retrieve the sword he took from Mae'chen's friend. Mr. X turns out to be no other than Gilgamesh, found by approaching the bridge connecting the Central Islands. Halfway through the battle, Gilgamesh becomes much stronger. When his HP are reduced to 0, he flees and possibly leaves behind a valuable piece of equipment. At this point, the player can return to Mae'chen to complete the quest which rewards them with 8000 EXP, 4000 Gold and the ability to buy a Zodiac Helmet at the Ancient of Wonders. Gilgamesh has several possible equipment drops. He will always drop the Excalipoor, a ridiculously weak weapon, as well as three Crystal Shards, but may also drop a piece of Genji Equipment. Always Drop Random. On Normal Difficulty, Gilgamesh will drop one random piece of Genji Equipment and has a 25% chance to drop the Heiji's Jitte. On Hard or Very Hard difficulty or Hardcore mode, Gilgamesh will instead drop two pieces of Genji Equipment and has a 50% chance to drop Heiji's Jitte.
