They are now completely unavailable, as their ID has been taken over by stained glass. Their texture is a simple cube with purple and black squares, as opposed to the chest texture they had originally.
  • The Locked Chest is part of the 1.4 April Fools update by Notch. Their texture is the same as the chest texture (Before Beta 1.8.1). They will also glow with a luminance of 15, identical to Glowstone. They have been removed from the game as of 1.7, and they can only be obtained in versions prior to 1.7. When the person buys it a pop up of a Jurassic Park Velociraptor made by Stan Winston studios (NOTE it's actually the one from the sequel The Lost World Jurassic Park) while a track from Jurassic Park plays that is called Eye to Eye. When the persons gets over $10,000 in purchases a message appears saying please exit if you are prone to seizures. This causes the screen to flash different colors. The store was removed completely from the game in Beta 1.7. File:Minecraft April Fools
